Cookie policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are optional, and we only use those if you say yes.
This policy covers tophik.com, run by Henrique Mendonça de Moura, trading as Tophik. Contact: support@tophik.com.
1. Essential cookies
These keep the site secure, keep your basket working and let you check out. The site can’t work properly without them, so they don’t need your consent. Our shop runs on Shopify, which sets these:
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_shopify_essential |
Keeps the shop working: your session, checkout and security checks | 1 year |
_shopify_test |
Checks that your browser accepts cookies | 1 minute |
cart |
Remembers what’s in your basket | 2 weeks |
cart_currency |
Starts a new empty basket in the same currency after you check out | 2 weeks |
discount_code |
Keeps a discount code from a link until your next checkout | Until you close the browser |
localization |
Shows your basket for the right country | 1 year |
The site also remembers your cookie choice so the banner doesn’t ask again on every visit. When the 10% off pop-up has appeared, it sets a cookie called concept:newsletter-popup for 30 days, so the pop-up doesn’t show again. It stores only that you have seen the pop-up, and no personal information.
At checkout, our payment provider may set cookies to help prevent fraud. These are needed to take payment safely.
2. Optional cookies
Optional cookies include analytics cookies (which show how people use the site, so we can improve it) and marketing cookies (which help us understand how our marketing performs). We only set them if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner.
Our shop runs on Shopify, which sets these:
| Cookie | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_shopify_analytics |
Analytics | Holds analytics data for the shop | 1 year |
_shopify_y |
Analytics | Shopify’s analytics cookie | 1 year |
_shopify_s |
Analytics | Recognises your browser session on this shop | 30 minutes |
shop_analytics |
Analytics | Holds visitor information used for analytics | 1 year |
_shopify_marketing |
Marketing | Holds marketing data for the shop | 1 year |
At the moment, we don’t use any other analytics or advertising cookies.
3. Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. You can accept or reject them. Rejecting doesn’t stop you from browsing or buying.
4. Changing your choice
To change your choice, delete the cookies for tophik.com in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site, such as the basket and checkout, may not work.
5. More information
